Use SEAM to experiment with new ideas, meet other artists with whom you can collaborate, and discover a new audience (or, simply keep in touch with your existing fan base).
Our goal is to create meaningful entertainment with a positive social impact.

- SEAM LABS - "Where creativity finds its audience"
SEAM LABS is our playground for new and experimental entertainment. If you see something you like, pitch in. It's a great way to collaborate with new people and find out if you have an affinity. Most of us need the skills of other artists. We could really use your help.
There are lots of ad hoc Groups in the LABS, where artists and their audience explore, debate and engage in new ideas. Feel free to join one you like and participate in the Group-specific discussion forums.
Create a Group of your own. Showcase your talents, or solicit help from other artists. Engage the public and discover a new audience for your work.
- SEAM Productions - "Radical entertainment incubator"
SEAM Projects came from SEAM LABS, but are now on our production slate. We are searching for sponsorship and finance. Often, we are searching for other artists to help us realise our goals. For example, if you are an animator - we could really use your help on Battery Chicken. There are many projects like these that can benefit from crowdsourcing.
SEAM Productions specialises in "Social SciFi" and Comedy-Thrillers. What are those, you ask? Well, social science fiction is not space opera, but more like "two minutes into the future" than two hundred years. Also, it deals with the social consequences of new technology. And comedy-thrillers are a unique hybrid that's hard to explain without a few examples: "Fargo", "Dr Strangelove", "After Hours", "Pineapple Express", and "Grosse Point Blank", to name a few. Check out this post, if you want to know more.
- SEAM Forums
We have a variety of forums devoted to story development and how to improve our community. These are evolving all the time. We'd love to hear your point of view.
Some of these forums are free and open to all and some require membership. If you opt for a Storyteller membership, you will become part of a tight-knit community that has access to special materials, events and forums.
SEAM LABS have many groups - each of which have their own discussion forums. These are FREE and separate from the SEAM Forums that we are talking about here.
- Perfect Pitch
Check out our Perfect Pitch project. It invites everyone to thrash out dramatic questions and story premises. Later on, these will be used in collaborative pitching competitions. Even if you don't intend to compete, it's fun to participate and it may unblock you if you're searching for new story ideas.
Storytellers: check out our Story Design book. It is the framework for the Perfect Pitch Project.
Your creative activity will be rewarded. You will earn points for all your contributions. These points can be traded for goods and services.
Feel free to offer your skills in return for points. For instance, if you are a concept artist, you could offer artwork in return for points.
You can also give points to other artists, which they can use for goods and services. It's basically e-commerce based on reciprocity. By engaging with one another, you earn points that you can give to the artists that need them (or, exchange them for something you want for yourself).
If you are involved in a SEAM Project, you may become entitled to a share of net profits from commercial activities. This will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. However, it is our manifesto to give artists a share of the upside in work that they have made a significant contribution to.
