We Can't Wait to Meat You
Battery Chicken is Logan's Run meets Chicken Run meets The Matrix. Our protagonist lives on Idyllic farms, which sounds all well and good until he is 'awakened' - only to find himself in the Battle Royale of Batteries - a hellish, futuristic chicken battery, designed to slaughter as many chickens as possible, as efficiently as possible. He must run the gauntlet to survive and eventually lead his brethren to 'Free Range'.
It's a very dark, twisted, satirical tale that I hope offers a lot of entertainment value while making us aware of what we are becoming.

Origin of the Story
There are too many people in the world but there are a whole lot more on the way!
Agribusiness is booming to fill the demand but not always doing so in our best interest.
If you're a meat eater, you probably like sausage. It's yummy. Just don't ask to see how they made it.
Some would argue that animal husbandry has become animal torture. Cattle with festering ulcers from being force-fed corn, fish feeding on their own excrement... not the rural idyl, is it? Europe is often up in arms over Monsanto's genetic crop tinkering and what it could do to our environment.
But, what are we supposed to do? There are hungry mouths to feed. Lots of them. And more and more people want meat - every day of the week. Wars over oil will probably seem quaint, when we're fighting over fresh water and arable land.
I have to admit, I don't think very long or hard about where my food comes from. When I go to a restaurant, I rarely enquire about whether their tuna is line-caught, or their chickens free range. Part of me just doesn't want to know. As long as it's cheap and tastes good, I shut my eyes.
But I know this isn't a good idea, because someday this is going to come back to haunt me.
I began by watching some documentaries and reading a few articles on all sides of the debate. One of the most horrific and disturbing things I came across was the chicken battery. These are pretty terrible places that would make your stomach churn.
I wanted to do something to make us aware of what we eat and what agribusiness might look like in the future without it coming across as too preachy.
The result is Battery Chicken.
We have recorded the audio for the origin story of Fancy, while introducing the premise and a few other important characters. We are currently editing the audio, which we will be setting to animatics in search of a director and team of animators. Our aim is to release at least five episodes of the origin story as a Web animation series.
While we work on the Web animation series, we have designed a game, which we are looking for a games developer to help us with. We'd like to use the Web animation series to promote the game(s).
