I’ve downloaded and had a go with three different project planning Apps for iPad and MacOS. Here are my short-takes:
SG Project is the most mature across both platforms. It allows you to save your files to Dropbox and sync across your devices. It’s interface is very spartan and not particularly pleasing to the eye, but it gets the job done. Editing gantt chart on the iPad works but is a bit cumbersome.
Omniplan is the most iPad friendly. Editing gantt chart on the iPad is much more pleasureful. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support Dropbox, but you can use their free server syncing software which works just fine. It doesn’t handle multiple projects particularly well, though.
Merlin is the best at handling multiple projects BUT you cannot edit gantt charts on the iPad version! Sure, you can view them, but not edit them. It’s the most sophisticated planner of the lot, but is complicated as a result.
