Junior High Noon - Feature Film
We are currently developing a feature film for worldwide release. It is a live-action, comedy fantasy film starring young teenagers set in an overseas American Junior High School.
Imagine a cross between Road Dahl and Stephen Chow - "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" meets "Kung Fu Hustle". It's fast-paced and zany. It's shot in a Western-genre style and loosely follows the plot of the cowboy classic "High Noon" but, otherwise, its a contemporary and fresh look at the trials and tribulations of teenage angst, bullying, loyalty and courage.
For more information on the film itself, check out our introduction to "Junior High Noon" page.
Junior High Noon - The Game
We are in discussion with a number of game developers to create a social game involving the world of the story and our characters. The player will be invited to play the hero as, "Hall Montor", and to do their best to protect the school and keep the peace. They can enlist the help of their friends in order to thwart the nefarious plans of Petty Miller and his villainous posse.
The purpose of the game is to build a large community around the assets that will feature in the motion picture. This will act as an important marketing activity by raising awareness for the film but will, also, provide revenues to fund future transmedia development around the JHN franchise.
If you are interested in finding out more about the game, please contact us through the JHN Artist Group.
Film Club UK - Close Encounters
In December 2011, we launched a campaign to get students across the UK involved in helping us to improve the script, design characters, write backstories and design posters for the campaign. The competition was hosted by Film Club, which has over 250,000 children from 7 - 18 in their after-school film programme. The programme is under their 'Close Encounters' project, wherein filmmakers hold seminars with students. We are currently touring the country, participating in many of these Close Encounters sessions to raise awareness and get as many kids involved as possible.
Here is the video that Film Club used to begin the competition:
