Nomadz are curious, multi-hyphenate, e-literate and intrepid - they are the architects of the future. Here is a more detailed description of what the characteristics are of the target demographic - Nomadz.Net About US.
The Nomadz.net website was launched in March 2010 and has grown rapidly. We are exploring ways to introduce travel stories and interesting characters into this environment. For the most part, the site consists of colourful product reviews and arguments between the staff and the public.
The project began as an experiment. We wondered if it would be possible to make money to fund story development from people who had no idea that they were engaged in storytelling and world building. In other words, could we monetize the entertainment indirectly?
We believe that product reviews can be very entertaining and that people will pay for what informs and amuses them. Check out the Sat Bains threaded conversation to see what we mean. It gives a good example of where fiction and reality get blurred. The participants in the comments thread are real people and not made-up. This was not scripted in any way but it became part of our 'story'.
We will be experimenting with other ways to engage the Nomadz audience as we shift gradually into a more 'lifestyle' orientated product.
